I became interested in cars & trucks at about 10 years of age while watching my dad and uncle work on them, letting me help whenever I could. I received my first job at age 16 at the local dealership in my hometown of Galesburg, Michigan. I started doing body work at home in my garage on friend and family vehicles. That was the beginning of my passion for auto body repair and custom painting. I have 35 years of experience in the auto body & paint business which includes welding, fiberglass and 15 years of framework.
I met my wife Judy in 1993, and we moved from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Cookeville, Tennessee in 1995. While my wife was raised around and worked in the automotive business, she too had an interest in antique and classic cars. My dream was to have my own body shop, rather than working for someone else. In 2006 we opened Harvey’s Body, Paint, and Restoration. Now I am doing what I love, bringing life to your old love!
